Stephenville
Monday July 26, 2010With only two more stops left in Newfoundland visitors in Stephenville were eager to catch the bus! During the morning we were parked at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital where staff and patients joined us for a few minutes to learn more about being breast aware, and the work of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Next stop was the Price Chopper where staff set up a delicious BBQ and organized a raffle draw to help raise money for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Within minutes of arriving the bus was full of people learning about the importance of early detection. With the help of our two amazing Tour Champs, Joan and Loretta, many people left with a brochure full of information as well as the number to call the Breast Screening Program in Newfoundland (1-800-414-3443). It is still not too late to catch the bus in Newfoundland we will be in Port Aux Basque tomorrow!
